My partner and I have been talking lately and have decided which direction we want to take our rabbits.
I have been to several rabbit shows this year and have seen very few French Angoras. Because of this we have decided to fortify our barn and our French collection. We have discovered that Smoki is a Vienna carrier when she produced a kit with the Vienna mark. I am hoping that Mochie's breeding will produce another vienna marked kit. Once we have a VM buck we are going to be working on a BEW program. Additionally, we have noticed that you hear more about Satin Angoras having Chinchilla coloring but very few French. That could be just a lack of posting, but in any case we are going to be working on a line of Chinchilla based French Angoras. We will be working on these lines over the next few years. All the colors we are trying to breed for are recognized colors, just not colors that are seen very often within the French Angora community. Thank you all and I look forward to sharing this adventure with all of you. |
AuthorHello, my name is Michelle. I am the owner, operated and bunny groomer for our little business. I started this on a personal level but always strive for bigger and better. I am a mother of three, spent my entire adult life as a nursing assistant, until an injury disabled me and ended that chapter of my life.
